Silva

In 1933, Björn, Alvar and Arvid Kjellström invented the first ever liquid-filled compass, and Silva's story began. Not only was it the first compass of its kind, but it also set the global standard for how navigation works today. Then, in 1935, Silva launched their first headlamp – Zeiler – and the SILVA brand was born. Still to this day, we develop products for people who spend time on outdoor activities, regardless if the activity is high pulse like running, skiing, or more low key like commuting to school or work. With Silva's products, you can go anywhere you want, at any time of the day, and in any condition.

Silva has a variety of compasses for hiking, orienteering and marine use that have been refined over the past 85 years. Silva's durable compasses ensure accurate navigation whether you are on land or at sea, day, and night.

Don’t let the darkness stop you. Silva's powerful and lightweight headlamps combine a wide angle flood light with a long reach spot light. This gives you peripheral and long distance vision at the same time
