This is a genuine Bosnian era military surplus gas mask bag. These bags are often labeled as Serbian due to the region they came from and being difficult to pin down to a specific state from that era, but the lettering on this bag is in Bosnian and translates to "personal kit for the protection of citizens."

Heavy weight cotton canvas gas mask bag with adjustable shoulder strap. Single over the top flap with two "lift-a-dot" style securing snaps.
